1)The not-for-profit organization “Daily life Bus Yokkaichi” (Mie Prefecture) http://www.rosenzu.com/sbus/ (Link in Japanese) runs buses in areas where routes have been scrapped due to a lack of users. In order to meet the needs of elderly users, they have removed unnecessary factors for customers (e.g. speed, efficiency). As a result, an abnormally inefficient route setting, but connecting the pick-up and drop-off points, is made. By doing this, the business is able to run by securing users as well as sponsors.
